Surrounded by Birds and Wildlife
Just off the shore of Rubha Phoil lie two small islands, untouched by humans. They’re home to a wide variety of birds, seals and otters. Some of our forest areas are designated wildlife zones, and over the years, our feathered and furry neighbours have grown used to our presence.
You can hear a choir of birds singing during the day, and if you pay attention, you might spot rare species — or even hand-feed a robin.
Singing With Seals
You might have heard that seals enjoy music — and here, they do! A few seals often visit the Rubha Phoil beach, just 200 metres from the cabin. Go for a walk, hum a tune, and watch them react.
The coast around Rubha Phoil is home to a rich variety of wildlife — including curious seals like these.

Wild, quiet, and simple — our forest pitches are ideal for nature lovers. Advance booking required. Minimum stay: 2 nights. We can offer to rent 2 tents with equipment and up to 7 pitches total. You can ask us for exclusivity!

We want Rubha Phoil to be as welcoming as possible. Sadly our tracks are rough and we’re working hard on upgrading. We’re not ready to welcome wheel chairs yet. See our FAQ for accessibility details — terrain, toilets, facilities and more.
